A collision led to Independiente de Neuquén getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Cornelio Marcones hit a great ball. 4 minutes into the match, Independiente de Neuquén's goal looked a bit too open when Alfonso Tibalt came free, but Leopoldo Orlondon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leopoldo Orlondon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Maura in the 10th minute of the match. Teo Rioja charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teo Rioja the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 13th match minute, Corralito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teo Rioja to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 14 minutes, Ciriaco Medina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Independiente de Neuquén's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciriaco Medina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Tomas Maura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the match, Independiente de Neuquén's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Maura came free, but Leopoldo Orlondon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Faustino Felo came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Independiente de Neuquén's Victorino Abar. But to his dismay, Victorino Abar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Ciriaco Medina managed to get in a good position for a shot. Independiente de Neuquén's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciriaco Medina was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Faustino Felo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Independiente de Neuquén's zone, Tomas Maura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leopoldo Orlondon came out of the goal and Tomas Maura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 30 minutes into the match, Victorino Abar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Faustino Felo. Corralito's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Victorino Abar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Maura was the one to do the kick off. Leopoldo Orlondon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfonso Tibalt in the 52nd minute. If Tomas Maura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th match minute, Independiente de Neuquén was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucio Perpinya to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute, Tomas Maura fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Corralito were awarded a corner in the 62th minute after Independiente de Neuquén's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ciro Eusko took the corner. Corralito's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ciro Eusko in the 63rd minute. Corralito's Ciro Eusko was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Leopoldo Orlondon in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Tomas Maura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Alfonso Tibalt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Leopoldo Orlondon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Maura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute Tomas Maura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Orlondon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leopoldo Orlondon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Maura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfonso Tibalt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Leopoldo Orlondon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tomas Maura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
