When Rogelio Herena came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Deportivo Merlino fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogelio Herena couldn't finish the play. Rogelio Herena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Godfredo Emenon took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Narciso Fidencio. Narciso Fidencio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After 33 played minutes Beto F.C got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Francesco. After 34 minutes, Erubiel Cordarius mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Beto F.C and the Deportivo Merlino players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Deportivo Merlino booed when Beto F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erubiel Cordarius didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teo Mede showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rigoberto Txanton, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After 39 minutes, Victoriano Eufemio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Merlino and the Beto F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Beto F.C booed when Deportivo Merlino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victoriano Eufemio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Beto F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Merlino the free kick. If Rogelio Herena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 72 minutes into the match, Lázaro Nesto notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Deportivo Merlino's Teo Mede. Teo Mede was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Beto F.C's Tomas Francesco got a free kick in the 76th minute. Rigoberto Txanton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teo Mede having to interfere.
