The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Tobias Benitez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Daniel Calvino came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Cogermans fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Calvino couldn't finish the play. 7 minutes into the game, Ruperto Rosio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alejandro Llin. Ruperto Rosio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. With a little luck, Cogermans's Alejandro Llin got control of the ball when Gaston Bernabel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cogermans's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Santos Hotz 13 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. When Daniel Calvino came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Cogermans fans jumped to their feet. After having played for 20 minutes, Santos Hotz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trinchera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santos Hotz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Calvino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christian Rayman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gogo Manuelo in the 34th minute of play. After having played for 36 minutes, Daniel Calvino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cogermans's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Calvino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Trinchera's Christian Rayman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Calvino in the 38th minute of play. 40 minutes into the game, Daniel Calvino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Christian Rayman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Daniel Calvino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Calvino to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Roque Otsando made a precise shot to the right of Alejandro Llin. Cogermans's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. After having played for 59 minutes, Daniel Calvino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cogermans's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Calvino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roque Otsando in the 64th minute of play forced Cogermans's goalkeeper Alejandro Llin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victorino Rosalio got free with Christian Rayman in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Christian Rayman was a little too slow when Victorino Rosalio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 3-3. With a little luck, Trinchera's Christian Rayman got control of the ball when Victorino Rosalio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cogermans were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
