Spectators: 7088 (Terracing: 5317, Seating: 1630, VIP seats: 141) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gökhun Sargın started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute, Gilberto Gora hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arnaldo Rodriguez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Casey booed when Nueva Chicago was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Veremundo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Casey's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Mendieta came free, but Ernesto Nuñez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raul Tano might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ernesto Nuñez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raul Tano ran back to his position shaking his head. 33 minutes into the match, Gökhun Sargın had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ernesto Nuñez. Casey's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gökhun Sargın was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Ernesto Nuñez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gökhun Sargın, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 41 minutes into the match, Casey's goal looked a bit too open when Gökhun Sargın came free, but Ernesto Nuñez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ernesto Nuñez came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Nueva Chicago's Cirilo Leoncio. But to his dismay, Cirilo Leoncio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maximo Kiliz to make the kick off. When Alfonso Sabin came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Nueva Chicago fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfonso Sabin couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Casey getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Gilberto Gora hit a great ball. Gökhun Sargın could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Ernesto Nuñez made a huge save. Filomeno Aritza kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Ruperto Geleberto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nueva Chicago's supporters rose to their feet, but Ruperto Geleberto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernesto Nuñez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Filomeno Aritza hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Ivan Mendieta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nueva Chicago's supporters rose to their feet, but Ivan Mendieta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernesto Nuñez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gilberto Gora kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Ernesto Nuñez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raul Tano in the 66th minute of play. Ernesto Nuñez made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Ivan Mendieta sent off a good shot on target. Ivan Mendieta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Ernesto Nuñez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Casey's goalkeeper Ernesto Nuñez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gökhun Sargın. Alfredo Playo kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Ernesto Nuñez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ivan Mendieta in the 81st minute. With a little luck, Casey's Ernesto Nuñez got control of the ball when Fausto Veremundo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 89th minute, Alfonso Sabin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ernesto Nuñez. The goal made the score 0-4. Nueva Chicago's Anier Gaitano was substituted for Gökhun Sargın. 95 minutes into the match, Nueva Chicago's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo Rodriguez came free, but Steff Van Eyck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Nueva Chicago could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Casey throughout the match.
