When Apolo Abecia fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atletico Los Leones's protests and gave Apolo Abecia a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st match minute, Club Atletico Los Leones was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Apolo Abecia to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 22nd minute of the game. One of Club Atletico Los Leones:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of despedida:s goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vintila Marinescu to make the kick off. The despedida fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hernan Macias should have stopped the shot. After 66 minutes despedida's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eleuterio Domiku who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Eleuterio Domiku almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but despedida's Hernan Macias did a great save. Hernan Macias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig-Arne Adelsköld in the 69th minute of the match. After 70 played minutes despedida got a freekick which was hit by Ramon Atarrabi. despedida made a substitution. Ulises Grabiel replaced Quim Socho. The supporters of Club Atletico Los Leones booed when despedida was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramon Atarrabi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stig-Arne Adelsköld who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Hernan Macias when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ulises Grabiel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Esteban Frantzes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Club Atletico Los Leones walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
