The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Raimundo Maties took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Lobo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Domínguez AFC's zone, Abel Lobo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raimundo Maties came out of the goal and Abel Lobo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eleuterio Bastiaro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Conrado Monte hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Raimundo Maties showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Lobo, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After 37 played minutes Domínguez AFC got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Luix. Raimundo Maties took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusebio Ezkerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Dolores's Abel Lobo in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Domínguez AFC's goalie prevented a goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abel Lobo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eusebio Ezkerra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Raimundo Maties made a huge save. If Eleuterio Bastiaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Domínguez AFC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Eugenio Galtero hit a great ball. When Abel Lobo came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Dolores fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abel Lobo couldn't finish the play. Eusebio Ezkerra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Raimundo Maties having to make a save. Dolores's David Todor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eleuterio Bastiaro in the 68th minute of play. Eusebio Ezkerra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Raimundo Maties having to make a save. Raimundo Maties made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eusebio Ezkerra in the 76th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Domínguez AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Lobo came free, but Raimundo Maties reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Dolores fans' excitement grew in the 79th match minute when Dolores's Abel Lobo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Domínguez AFC's goalkeeper Raimundo Maties, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abel Lobo in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raimundo Maties saved Domínguez AFC from getting behind. Eleuterio Bastiaro scored 1-1 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of David Todor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Abel Lobo might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Raimundo Maties. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abel Lobo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 94th minute Abel Lobo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimundo Maties saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eleuterio Bastiaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. David Todor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
