The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, C. A. Defensores de Glew's goalkeeper Gualterio Nuñez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nunez Jokin. After 7 minutes of play, Pata Ancha FC's Abelardo Bibiano made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gualterio Nuñez was left in no man's land by his defense there! The long shot by Alejandro Astudillo in the 11th minute really tested Gualterio Nuñez's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 16th minute Eustacio Urritz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felipe Sazon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felipe Sazon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eustacio Urritz, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. C. A. Defensores de Glew's Mario Gagriel got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eustacio Urritz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Felipe Sazon having to make a save. In the 26th match minute, C. A. Defensores de Glew was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rolando Eskuin to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saul Criston in the 29th minute of play forced C. A. Defensores de Glew's goalkeeper Gualterio Nuñez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Pata Ancha FC booed when C. A. Defensores de Glew was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Gagriel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leandro Ponce hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Pata Ancha FC defense, Mario Gagriel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Felipe Sazon. The Pata Ancha FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Felipe Sazon should have stopped the shot. Rolando Eskuin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Felipe Sazon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Mario Gagriel hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Mario Gagriel managed to get in a good position for a shot. C. A. Defensores de Glew's supporters rose to their feet, but Mario Gagriel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Felipe Sazon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eustacio Urritz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Rolando Eskuin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eustacio Urritz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Sazon having to interfere. Gualterio Nuñez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nunez Jokin in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 64th match minute, Pata Ancha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abelardo Bibiano to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Mario Gagriel managed to get in a good position for a shot. C. A. Defensores de Glew's supporters rose to their feet, but Mario Gagriel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Felipe Sazon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 75th minute of the match Arnoldo Bertol sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gualterio Nuñez skillfully saved the ball. After 76 played minutes C. A. Defensores de Glew got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Senin. When Mario Gagriel came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the C. A. Defensores de Glew fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mario Gagriel couldn't finish the play. After 82 played minutes Pata Ancha FC got a freekick which was hit by Nunez Jokin. Pata Ancha FC's Felipe Sazon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mario Gagriel in the 85th minute of play. Felipe Sazon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolando Eskuin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Pata Ancha FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. C. A. Defensores de Glew were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
