Modesto Victoro was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 16th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Primitivo Bernard's late challenge caught a Trapiche's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Primitivo Bernard helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Paladar Negro's Primitivo Bernard got a free kick in the 18th minute. When Jacobo Quexal came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Paladar Negro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacobo Quexal couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anastasio Chaime in the 27th minute of play forced Trapiche's goalkeeper Paulo Gaueko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulo Gaueko stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jacobo Quexal's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. After a rather tough play, Trapiche's Zeledon Marin got a free kick in the 29th minute. After 30 played minutes, Paladar Negro's Braulio Figueroa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Paulo Gaueko came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Paladar Negro reached it. After 35 played minutes Trapiche got a freekick which was hit by Zeledon Marin. The supporters of Paladar Negro booed when Trapiche was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Gagriel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Modesto Victoro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Paladar Negro's goal looked a bit too open when Israel Fe came free, but Celso Ganix reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Modesto Victoro scored 1-0 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Celso Ganix, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anastasio Chaime made a kick off. In the 59th minute, Zeledon Marin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 66thth minute of the game Anastasio Chaime who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Trapiche's Paulo Gaueko was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Modesto Victoro in the 70th minute of play forced Paladar Negro's goalkeeper Celso Ganix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celso Ganix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Modesto Victoro, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Godfredo Olando hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Israel Fe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute.
