An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulises Liher in the 17th minute of play forced Zanjitas AFC's goalkeeper Omar Ordono to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Omar Ordono stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ulises Liher's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. The supporters of EL MOSTRO booed when Zanjitas AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fulgencio Gizon didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Aldo Toribio came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the EL MOSTRO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aldo Toribio couldn't finish the play. Godofredo Salvino's late challenge caught a EL MOSTRO 's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Godofredo Salvino helped the player get up and apologised. In the 31st minute, Godofredo Salvino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the match, Ulises Liher had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Omar Ordono. Zanjitas AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ulises Liher was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Prospero Leobardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Omar Ordono tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zanjitas AFC's Omar Ordono played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulises Liher in the 38th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Godofredo Salvino to make the kick off. If Ulises Liher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 54 played minutes EL MOSTRO got a freekick which was hit by Ladislao Haimar. The audience was convinced that Godofredo Salvino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristian Ekaitz was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. In the 59th minute Ulises Liher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omar Ordono saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute, Igor Gomez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Ulises Liher managed to get in a good position for a shot. EL MOSTRO 's supporters rose to their feet, but Ulises Liher was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Omar Ordono breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Zanjitas AFC defense, Prospero Leobardo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Omar Ordono. The Zanjitas AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Omar Ordono should have stopped the shot. When Ladislao Haimar came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the EL MOSTRO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ladislao Haimar couldn't finish the play. 72 minutes into the match, EL MOSTRO 's Ulises Liher sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Omar Ordono narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 73rd minute, Angelino Birjaio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to EL MOSTRO getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Prospero Leobardo hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Zanjitas AFC's zone, Ulises Liher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Omar Ordono came out of the goal and Ulises Liher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Aldo Toribio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ladislao Haimar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Prospero Leobardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Omar Ordono having to interfere. Zanjitas AFC's Omar Ordono played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulises Liher in the 89th minute of play. EL MOSTRO were awarded a corner in the 90th minute after Zanjitas AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Aldo Toribio took the corner. The corner led EL MOSTRO 's Aldo Toribio to fire away a dangerous shot which Omar Ordono despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 92 minutes into the game, EL MOSTRO 's Ulises Liher nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Omar Ordono made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0.
