The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Mauricio Fidensio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alonzo Cloyo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Godofredo Salvino took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alonzo Cloyo. Alonzo Cloyo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 9th match minute, C.A Nueva Chicago was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julian Baristo to maneuver through the defense. Fabricio Paublo hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Alonzo Cloyo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godofredo Salvino, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Zanjitas AFC's zone, Prudencio Duarte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Omar Ordono came out of the goal and Prudencio Duarte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 23 minutes, Prudencio Duarte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A Nueva Chicago's supporters crossed their fingers, but Prudencio Duarte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 26 minutes into the match, Godofredo Salvino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alonzo Cloyo. C.A Nueva Chicago's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Godofredo Salvino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Prudencio Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Omar Ordono having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Fulgencio Gizon made a precise shot to the right of Alonzo Cloyo. C.A Nueva Chicago's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Emiliano Telmo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 38 minutes into the match, Zanjitas AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Prudencio Duarte came free, but Omar Ordono reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 43 played minutes C.A Nueva Chicago got a freekick which was hit by Geronimo Cuarto. Godofredo Salvino took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alonzo Cloyo. Alonzo Cloyo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. After the first half Zanjitas AFC were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Prudencio Duarte made a kick off. Prudencio Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 60 minutes into the game, Jeremias Beti recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alonzo Cloyo. Jeremias Beti showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauricio Fidensio got free with Alonzo Cloyo in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alonzo Cloyo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mauricio Fidensio in the 71st minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in C.A Nueva Chicago fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 82nd minute. Penalty! With a little luck, C.A Nueva Chicago's Alonzo Cloyo got control of the ball when Mauricio Fidensio tried to sneak it across the goal line. C.A Nueva Chicago's Alonzo Cloyo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save C.A Nueva Chicago from getting a goal against them. Prudencio Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emiliano Telmo struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Omar Ordono didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A Nueva Chicago. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Zanjitas AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
