Ceferino Gora kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Dante Cordarrol's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Uriel Luix was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. A collision led to C. A. Independiente getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Raimundo Lorien hit a great ball. Lucio Foro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Baltasar Estefan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Constantino Hermelando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uriel Luix having to interfere. Constantino Hermelando came free with the goalkeeper in the 22nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Uriel Luix could save by the left post. If Dante Cordarrol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th match minute, Trinchera FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uriel Baladi to maneuver through the defense. Dante Cordarrol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uriel Luix having to interfere. When Uriel Baladi fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Trinchera FC's protests and gave Uriel Baladi a yellow card for diving instead. After 36 played minutes Trinchera FC got a freekick which was hit by Uriel Baladi. 37 minutes into the match, C. A. Independiente's Vinicio Lopes broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 40th minute, Lucio Foro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Melchor Sandalio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Baltasar Estefan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Lucio Foro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Constantino Hermelando blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Uriel Luix having to make a save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Dante Cordarrol made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind C. A. Independiente's goalkeeper Baltasar Estefan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Baltasar Estefan made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Uriel Baladi sent off a good shot on target. Dante Cordarrol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Uriel Luix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Trinchera FC's goal looked a bit too open when Constantino Hermelando came free, but Uriel Luix reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Constantino Hermelando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Dante Cordarrol came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the C. A. Independiente fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dante Cordarrol couldn't finish the play. 80 minutes into the game, Constantino Hermelando cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Uriel Luix was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lucio Foro was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 87th minute. Trinchera FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Trinchera FC's Uriel Luix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantino Hermelando in the 90th minute of play. Lucio Foro kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. In the 96th minute of the match Vinicio Lopes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Uriel Luix skillfully saved the ball. Trinchera FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
