Ernesto Cordarius dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Pedro Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yago Cuaron in the 25th minute of play. Ernesto Cordarius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saturnino Matteo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Saturnino Matteo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute, Eulalio Lluques ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ernesto Cordarius was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Pedro Castro was a little too slow when Evaristo Cloyo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 1-4. In the 36th minute Maximiliano Berdoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Cordarius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernesto Cordarius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Berdoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Evaristo Cloyo scored 2-4 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Castro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Arbolito were leading 2-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

C.A.Atlas's Ernesto Cordarius proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save C.A.Atlas from getting a goal against them. Ernesto Cordarius was a little too slow when Saturnino Matteo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 2-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saturnino Matteo in the 59th minute of play forced C.A.Atlas's goalkeeper Ernesto Cordarius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ernesto Cordarius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saturnino Matteo in the 65th minute of the match. After some careless play in the C.A.Atlas defense, Maximiliano Berdoi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ernesto Cordarius. The C.A.Atlas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ernesto Cordarius should have stopped the shot. Arbolito made a substitution. Lisandro Mendez replaced Maximiliano Berdoi. Teofilo Hernando kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 76 minutes into the match, C.A.Atlas's goal looked a bit too open when Saturnino Matteo came free, but Ernesto Cordarius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lisandro Mendez got free with Ernesto Cordarius in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arbolito's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
