Spectators: 7171 (Terracing: 5380, Seating: 1649, VIP seats: 142) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. 钱凡德 started the match with the kick off. Renaissance's 钱凡德 got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Renaissance booed when Petroquímica FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saturnino Boniel didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Modesto Musko came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Renaissance fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Modesto Musko couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Renaissance's Zeledon Ladio got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 16th minute, 钱凡德 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Petroquímica FC's goalkeeper Julian Lehen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 钱凡德. Julian Lehen made an important save on a dangerous shot by 钱凡德 in the 22nd minute. The supporters of Petroquímica FC booed when Renaissance was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Osoro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julian Lehen came out of the goal and Modesto Musko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rafael Faron kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. 钱凡德 made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 38thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Julian Lehen would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Julian Lehen was a little too slow when Modesto Musko got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 40th minute. The score was now 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when 钱凡德 got free with Julian Lehen in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

After 52 played minutes Petroquímica FC got a freekick which was hit by Martin Bernaldo. If 钱凡德 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julian Lehen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 钱凡德 in the 55th minute of the match. Gogo Lohitzun's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Esteban Urtats read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. If Modesto Musko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Julian Lehen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeledon Ladio in the 80th minute of play. A collision led to Petroquímica FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Domingos Paul hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that 钱凡德's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julian Lehen was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. 钱凡德 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Julian Lehen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There was no doubt that Renaissance were the better team. Renaissance's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
