After 4 minutes of play, MILLONARIO's Abelardo Ibar made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Guillermo Rolado was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Petrolero FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Rolando Demesio hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Petrolero FC's zone, Santiago Urre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guillermo Rolado came out of the goal and Santiago Urre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Petrolero FC's Guillermo Rolado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Ibar in the 11th minute of play. When Abelardo Ibar came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the MILLONARIO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abelardo Ibar couldn't finish the play. Guillermo Rolado came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by MILLONARIO's Santiago Urre. But to his dismay, Santiago Urre quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Santiago Urre in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guillermo Rolado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to MILLONARIO getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Godofredo Bonadona hit a great ball. Faustino Stanislao was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Emanuel Jerico. After 37 played minutes MILLONARIO got a freekick which was hit by Ramon Serafo. Rolando Demesio hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Guillermo Rolado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santiago Urre in the 47th minute of play. When Moises Steven fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Petrolero FC's protests and gave Moises Steven a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Petrolero FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Moises Steven hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ernesto Oliviero was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Petrolero FC's Jeremias Cordaro seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jeremias Cordaro the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Petrolero FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jeremias Cordaro had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Ramon Serafo walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. If Abelardo Ibar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Urre in the 68th minute of play forced Petrolero FC's goalkeeper Guillermo Rolado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guillermo Rolado made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Abelardo Ibar sent off a good shot on target. Santiago Urre's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guillermo Rolado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. With his leg Guillermo Rolado managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when MILLONARIO's Abelardo Ibar fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Through an outstanding action, after 83 minutes, Guillermo Rolado successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Moises Steven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guillermo Rolado was a little too slow when Santiago Urre got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 1-4. When Moises Steven came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Petrolero FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moises Steven couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, MILLONARIO's Godofredo Bonadona got a free kick in the 94th minute. In the 95th minute, Florentino Erlantz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Moises Steven struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Faustino Stanislao didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Petrolero FC. Guillermo Rolado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santiago Urre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The MILLONARIO players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
