Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Felix Unai took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the match, Despeñaderos AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Xabat came free, but Atilano Gorbea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Sainuco FC's zone, Felix Unai stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esteve Polentzi came out of the goal and Felix Unai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Atilano Gorbea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Xabat in the 6th minute of the match. If Sebastian Xabat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Atilano Gorbea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sebastian Xabat's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Fabricio Natal hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Esteve Polentzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Unai, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. If Felix Unai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Sainuco FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Mariano Bertin hit a great ball. Felix Unai might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Esteve Polentzi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felix Unai ran back to his position shaking his head. Luis Salvator blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Esteve Polentzi having to make a save. Felix Unai struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Esteve Polentzi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Despeñaderos AFC. Felix Unai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteve Polentzi having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 51st minute, Romulo Abascal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felix Unai received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Esteve Polentzi came out and tried to block the shot, but Felix Unai slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 56th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luis Salvator got free with Esteve Polentzi in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Freddy Richie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Sainuco FC's zone, Luis Salvator stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esteve Polentzi came out of the goal and Luis Salvator tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 75 minutes into the game, Esteban Lalla was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sainuco FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Despeñaderos AFC the free kick. The goalkeeper, Esteve Polentzi, was totally fooled by Despeñaderos AFC's Roque Florin, who 76 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Unai in the 81st minute of play forced Sainuco FC's goalkeeper Esteve Polentzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sainuco FC's Esteve Polentzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Unai in the 82nd minute of play. In the 85th minute, Felix Unai fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Esteve Polentzi, passed just outside the right post. After 86 minutes, Fabricio Natal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sainuco FC and the Despeñaderos AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 86th match minute, Sainuco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabricio Natal to maneuver through the defense. After 87 played minutes Sainuco FC got a freekick which was hit by Angelino Chano. After a rather tough play, Sainuco FC's Natalio Tiadoro got a free kick in the 89th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sainuco FC's zone, Luis Salvator stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esteve Polentzi came out of the goal and Luis Salvator tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Atilano Gorbea came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Sainuco FC's Sebastian Xabat. But to his dismay, Sebastian Xabat quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Despeñaderos AFC's Atilano Gorbea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Xabat in the 99th minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
