After some careless play in the Paulito FC defense, Jorge Llorian kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ceferino Suero. The Paulito FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ceferino Suero should have stopped the shot. Ceferino Suero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Rios in the 8th minute of play. Paulito FC's Ceferino Suero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Llorian in the 9th minute of play. A collision led to Paulito FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Wilfredo Cresenciano hit a great ball. Ceferino Suero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Llorian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute, one of Ordóñez AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ordóñez AFC. The goalkeeper, David Victoro, was totally fooled by Paulito FC's Bernardo Cordarius, who 18 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 26 minutes into the match, Paulito FC's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Rios came free, but Ceferino Suero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute Basilio Rivas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ceferino Suero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Rios in the 28th minute of play forced Paulito FC's goalkeeper Ceferino Suero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulito FC's Ceferino Suero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Rios in the 31st minute of play. 1-2 became the score in the 33rd minute when Basilio Rivas elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.

David Victoro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Seber, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. A collision led to Ordóñez AFC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Freddy Dantae hit a great ball. Simon Seber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 58 minutes into the match, Paulito FC's goalkeeper Ceferino Suero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roberto Gregory. After a defensive mix-up in Paulito FC's zone, Denis Rios stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ceferino Suero came out of the goal and Denis Rios tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Baldomiro Astigar charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baldomiro Astigar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Baldomiro Astigar hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Denis Rios managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ordóñez AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Denis Rios was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ceferino Suero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Ordóñez AFC booed when Paulito FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomiro Astigar didn't get a good kick on the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Paulito FC's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Rios came free, but Ceferino Suero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ceferino Suero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denis Rios in the 83rd minute of the match. Denis Rios sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 88 minutes into the game, Basilio Rivas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ordóñez AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paulito FC the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Paulito FC's zone, Denis Rios stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ceferino Suero came out of the goal and Denis Rios tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Denis Rios struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Ceferino Suero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ordóñez AFC.
