Freddy Sazon took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rene Urtsua. Rene Urtsua dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Through an outstanding action, after 11 minutes, Rene Urtsua successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The crowd rose to their feet as Tucumichos's Eusebio Tulio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rene Urtsua. That made the score 2-1 after 16 minutes of play. When Ladislao Naldo came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Rosa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ladislao Naldo couldn't finish the play. Esteban Olo hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Ovidio Beila took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ladislao Naldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute, Teo Nabar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ovidio Beila was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teo Nabar to make the kick off. Rene Urtsua showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesar Garoa, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute Freddy Sazon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Urtsua saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Eusebio Tulio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tucumichos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-2. Rene Urtsua made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebio Tulio in the 86th minute of play. Osvaldo Bilintx kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Esteban Olo struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Rene Urtsua didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tucumichos. 90 minutes into the game, Tucumichos's Eusebio Tulio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rene Urtsua made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-2. 94 minutes into the match, Tucumichos's goal looked a bit too open when Teo Nabar came free, but Ovidio Beila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Freddy Sazon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tucumichos walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
