But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Igon couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Niupi FC's Rene Jatsu got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 32nd minute, Patricio Igon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adolfo Rumaldo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Patricio Igon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Rene Jatsu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

If Patricio Igon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julian Onofre kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roman Platon in the 76th minute of play forced Cafayete AFC's goalkeeper Adolfo Rumaldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Roman Platon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Niupi FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Roman Platon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adolfo Rumaldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Rene Jatsu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Cafayete AFC's zone, Rene Jatsu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adolfo Rumaldo came out of the goal and Rene Jatsu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Cafayete AFC's Adolfo Rumaldo got control of the ball when Patricio Igon tried to sneak it across the goal line. Patricio Igon struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Adolfo Rumaldo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Niupi FC.
