Salvador Maidana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. German Meder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Adolfo Rumaldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adolfo Rumaldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvio Ekialde in the 11th minute of the match. Edgard Balendin's late challenge caught a Cafayete AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgard Balendin helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Cafayete AFC booed when Alvarado F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Balendin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Salvador Maidana scored 0-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aureliano Sugar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Aureliano Sugar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salvador Maidana, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute Justino Omero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aureliano Sugar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aureliano Sugar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Maidana in the 34th minute of play. When Fulgencio Nisio fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alvarado F.C.'s protests and gave Fulgencio Nisio a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cafayete AFC booed when Alvarado F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fulgencio Nisio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aureliano Sugar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justino Omero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the game, Silvio Ekialde recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Adolfo Rumaldo. Silvio Ekialde showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Edgard Balendin hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Silvio Ekialde to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Cafayete AFC's zone, German Meder stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adolfo Rumaldo came out of the goal and German Meder tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Cafayete AFC defense, Silvio Ekialde kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adolfo Rumaldo. The Cafayete AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adolfo Rumaldo should have stopped the shot. Salvador Maidana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aureliano Sugar having to interfere. The supporters of Alvarado F.C. booed when Cafayete AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justino Omero didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 69 minutes, Silvio Ekialde managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alvarado F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvio Ekialde was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Salvador Maidana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silvio Ekialde in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adolfo Rumaldo saved Cafayete AFC from getting behind. Alvarado F.C.'s Aureliano Sugar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salvador Maidana in the 79th minute of play. Francisco Ler hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Justino Omero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aureliano Sugar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Cafayete AFC's Justino Omero got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 95 minutes into the match, Alvarado F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Salvador Maidana came free, but Aureliano Sugar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Salvador Maidana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Alvarado F.C. had won after a very even match.
