In the 12th minute, Ariel Domiku got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Baldomero Esquipula sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Club Atlético Funes's Christian Txema played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldomero Esquipula in the 29th minute of play. But to his dismay, Baldomero Esquipula quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baldomero Esquipula stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind River Plate MZA's goalkeeper Camilo Richie, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Baldomero Weterio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christian Txema having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Funes's Casimiro Modestio got a free kick in the 90th minute. River Plate MZA's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
