In the 6th minute Blas Nuxila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baldomero Lalla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gualterio Joseph's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Higinio Laurendi firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Leonel Elodio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the match, Enzo Errapel dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Higinio Laurendi, 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Blas Nuxila managed to get in a good position for a shot. Durañona's supporters rose to their feet, but Blas Nuxila was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baldomero Lalla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 23 minutes, Maximino Ebardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Durañona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximino Ebardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Blas Nuxila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute, Leonel Elodio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blas Nuxila in the 31st minute of play forced Vi€jitoS PiolaS's goalkeeper Baldomero Lalla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the game, Lino Gar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vi€jitoS PiolaS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Durañona the free kick. After a rather tough play, Vi€jitoS PiolaS's Lino Gar got a free kick in the 36th minute. Vi€jitoS PiolaS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Durañona the free kick. In the 48th minute, Melchor Sadurni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Blas Nuxila to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florencio Argoitz in the 55th minute of play forced Durañona's goalkeeper Higinio Laurendi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angelino Cordairo charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Angelino Cordairo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 58 played minutes Vi€jitoS PiolaS got a freekick which was hit by Angelino Cordairo. In the 66th minute, Blas Nuxila reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Baldomero Lalla. The goal made the score 1-1. Maximino Ebardo kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, Durañona's goal looked a bit too open when Gualterio Joseph came free, but Higinio Laurendi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Durañona booed when Vi€jitoS PiolaS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelino Cordairo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Higinio Laurendi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelino Cordairo in the 79th minute of play. Gualterio Joseph took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Higinio Laurendi. Higinio Laurendi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Blas Nuxila might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Baldomero Lalla. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Blas Nuxila ran back to his position shaking his head. After 95 minutes of play, Vi€jitoS PiolaS's Enzo Errapel made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Higinio Laurendi was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Vi€jitoS PiolaS fans cheered their team off the field, for while Durañona had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
