In the 2nd minute, Saverio Valentine had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. After a rather tough play, Sarlustra FC's Ariel Nastasio got a free kick in the 4th minute. Ildefonso Rodriguez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evaristo Mikolas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erling Kilstedt who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 12thth minute tested the skills of Honorato Jordy when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 13 minutes into the match, Morrocotudo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ariel Nastasio came free, but Honorato Jordy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erling Kilstedt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Honorato Jordy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Miguel Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Sarlustra FC's Ariel Nastasio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Honorato Jordy. That made the score 1-0 after 20 minutes of play. Ildefonso Rodriguez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Gabino, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. The supporters of Morrocotudo FC booed when Sarlustra FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Baristo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ildefonso Rodriguez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Gabino in the 29th minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Marcelo Gabino notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Sarlustra FC's Ildefonso Rodriguez. Ildefonso Rodriguez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teo Tirso during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Sarlustra FC booed when Morrocotudo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teo Tirso didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 41st minute by Erling Kilstedt got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ildefonso Rodriguez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavio Henrico in the 47th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teodosio Paublo to make the kick off. Honorato Jordy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodosio Paublo in the 60th minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Marcelo Gabino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erling Kilstedt hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. A collision led to Morrocotudo FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Miguel Reis hit a great ball. Honorato Jordy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodosio Paublo in the 72nd minute of the match. Teodosio Paublo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Honorato Jordy having to interfere. Ildefonso Rodriguez came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Morrocotudo FC's Flavio Henrico. But to his dismay, Flavio Henrico quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. If Erling Kilstedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 88th minute Ariel Nastasio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Honorato Jordy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ildefonso Rodriguez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Gabino in the 91st minute of play.
