Maquito FC's Camilo Estefan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Maquito FC from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Per-Erik Sjöberg got free with Camilo Estefan in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Per-Erik Sjöberg made a kick off. Maquito FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lescanos FC the free kick. In the 83rd minute, Guaberto Aurre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lescanos FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
