Eugenio Incendio might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Delmiro Jobo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eugenio Incendio ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 21st minute, Damian Orlo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 26th minute, Nicanor Eate hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Vilela getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Raimundo Sesuldo hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Gaspard in the 37th minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Roberto Baleren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Tadeo Luken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geronimo Guilabertus charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Geronimo Guilabertus the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tadeo Luken to make the kick off. Boca Juniors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. In the 73rd minute Damian Orlo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delmiro Jobo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 78 minutes into the game, Ivan Eron was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vilela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Boca Juniors the free kick. In the 78th match minute, Vilela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Eron to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Tadeo Luken's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roberto Baleren was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. With a little luck, Boca Juniors's Roberto Baleren got control of the ball when Ivan Gaspard tried to sneak it across the goal line.
