But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damian Palben couldn't finish the play. Flavio Feliz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Eustacio Diagur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Damian Palben scored 1-0 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eustacio Diagur, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in REAL ARECO FOBAL CLU's zone, Esteve Ihazintu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albino Isusko came out of the goal and Esteve Ihazintu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Albino Isusko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atilano Leizarraga in the 25th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, REAL ARECO FOBAL CLU's goal looked a bit too open when Atilano Leizarraga came free, but Albino Isusko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Atilano Leizarraga in the 31st minute of play forced REAL ARECO FOBAL CLU's goalkeeper Albino Isusko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to REAL ARECO FOBAL CLU getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Guaberto Tonio hit a great ball. Albino Isusko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atilano Leizarraga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albino Isusko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Atilano Leizarraga in the 36th minute of play. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind REAL ARECO FOBAL CLU's goalkeeper Albino Isusko, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Atilano Leizarraga took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Albino Isusko. Albino Isusko dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After some careless play in the REAL ARECO FOBAL CLU defense, Esteve Ihazintu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Albino Isusko. The REAL ARECO FOBAL CLU fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Albino Isusko should have stopped the shot. The REAL ARECO FOBAL CLU players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Nío were winning 1-2.

Flavio Feliz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Nío defense, Flavio Feliz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eustacio Diagur. Damian Palben recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
