Domingos Araoz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaac Rosio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Isidro Rosario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 12 minutes, Prospero Sugoi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cavanagh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Prospero Sugoi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 13th minute, Manuel Martxot made a precise shot to the right of Leonides Marques. Corti's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The supporters of Cavanagh booed when Corti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amador Marques didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonides Marques didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manuel Martxot went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 44th minute, Amador Marques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Cavanagh were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manuel Martxot to make the kick off. Amador Marques hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Leonides Marques made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Isidro Rosario sent off a good shot on target. Isaac Rosio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingos Araoz having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Cavanagh's Leonides Marques threw himself towards the right post 56 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Manuel Martxot, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Thanks to some nice moves Elias Nazario could shoot a difficult shot in the 58th minute, which Leonides Marques however easily saved by the left post. Isidro Rosario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Leonides Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Corti's Leonides Marques proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Corti from getting a goal against them. Isidro Rosario could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Leonides Marques made a huge save. If Manuel Martxot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isidro Rosario had several of the Corti's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 80 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Leonides Marques as he didn't even see the shot coming. Isidro Rosario's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Leonides Marques firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Manuel Martxot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isidro Rosario blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leonides Marques having to make a save. Manuel Martxot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonides Marques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Martxot in the 93rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Prospero Sugoi got free with Leonides Marques in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the final whistle sounded Cavanagh left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Corti.
