Jacinto Guillen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorato Pereyra in the 35th minute of play. Jacinto Guillen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vinicio Lizbeth, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. If Angel Quexal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miklós Lovász showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mazhar İlter in the 43rd minute of the match. Fabian Jakes hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 52ndth minute of the game Mazhar İlter who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Racing Club's Miklós Lovász was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Fabian Bikendi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dussaud's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabian Bikendi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miklós Lovász breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dussaud's Mazhar İlter got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabian Bikendi in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Miklós Lovász prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dussaud's Jacinto Guillen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genaro Ascencio in the 64th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Racing Club's Florentino Modestio got a free kick in the 66th minute. When Mazhar İlter came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Dussaud fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mazhar İlter couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Racing Club's Genaro Ascencio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jacinto Guillen. That made the score 1-1 after 72 minutes of play.
