Spectators: 7152 (Terracing: 5365, Seating: 1645, VIP seats: 142) Mete y Raspa Jr's Eustaquio Tadzio started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Mete y Raspa Jr's Isidoro Guillen got a free kick in the 2nd minute. 7 minutes into the game, Banfield's Dario Eduino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Florencio Bonifaco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 12th play minute Eustaquio Tadzio came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ulises Llope. 1-1. In the 18th minute Dario Eduino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florencio Bonifaco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eustaquio Tadzio hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isidoro Guillen during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 24 played minutes Mete y Raspa Jr got a freekick which was hit by Isidoro Guillen. Jakob Purbaya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florencio Bonifaco having to interfere. The supporters of Banfield booed when Mete y Raspa Jr was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Laurendi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Mete y Raspa Jr's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Cordarrell came free, but Florencio Bonifaco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 42 played minutes Mete y Raspa Jr got a freekick which was hit by Bernabe Naelio. Dario Eduino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dario Eduino was the one to do the kick off. Aaron Tadzio kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Mete y Raspa Jr's zone, Dario Eduino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florencio Bonifaco came out of the goal and Dario Eduino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 72nd minute, Dario Eduino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 73rd match minute, Mete y Raspa Jr was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leon Laurendi to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Banfield getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Laureano Luar hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustaquio Tadzio in the 76th minute of play forced Banfield's goalkeeper Ulises Llope to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isidoro Guillen got his second yellow card in the match during the 78th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 78th match minute, Mete y Raspa Jr was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isidoro Guillen to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 82 minutes, Jakob Purbaya managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Banfield's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jakob Purbaya was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anacleto Ihintza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Florencio Bonifaco having to make a save. Dario Eduino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Florencio Bonifaco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dario Eduino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
