Cipoletti's Raul Eyague shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 10th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Aurelio Mel but with some difficulty. 16 minutes into the match, Cipoletti's Zacarias Urbes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aurelio Mel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cipriano Romano got free with Aurelio Mel in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aurelio Mel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Chumo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute Felix Frascuelo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Mel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felix Frascuelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Aurelio Mel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cipoletti's zone, Eleuterio Ermano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Froilan Calvino came out of the goal and Eleuterio Ermano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Cipoletti's Amador Bixintxo got a free kick in the 29th minute. Club Atletic Don Santiago's Aurelio Mel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zacarias Urbes in the 31st minute of play. Aurelio Mel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Frascuelo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Octavio Estefan's late challenge caught a Cipoletti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Octavio Estefan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 36th minute, Octavio Estefan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aurelio Mel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Frascuelo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Froilan Calvino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esteban Egoi in the 42nd minute of the match. Esteban Egoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Froilan Calvino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Frascuelo in the 47th minute of play forced Club Atletic Don Santiago's goalkeeper Aurelio Mel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Esteban Egoi hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. If Felix Frascuelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aurelio Mel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zacarias Urbes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Esteban Egoi sped through Cipoletti's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Froilan Calvino. Esteban Egoi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Froilan Calvino made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Esteban Egoi got free with Froilan Calvino in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Esteban Egoi struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Froilan Calvino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atletic Don Santiago. Club Atletic Don Santiago's Aurelio Mel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Frascuelo in the 89th minute of play. Felix Frascuelo scored 2-2 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aurelio Mel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Aurelio Mel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zacarias Urbes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aurelio Mel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zacarias Urbes, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Club Atletic Don Santiago players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
