An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Fuente in the 6th minute of play forced Canalejas's goalkeeper Esteve Eguen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Thomas Fuente managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palavecino FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Thomas Fuente was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Esteve Eguen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Esteve Eguen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomas Fuente in the 12th minute of play. Palavecino FC's Benigno Valente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Peru in the 13th minute of play. Mauro Rodas's late challenge caught a Canalejas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mauro Rodas helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Palavecino FC's Mauro Rodas got a free kick in the 14th minute. The supporters of Palavecino FC booed when Canalejas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernan Procopio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Canalejas's Esteve Eguen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Canalejas from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Canalejas's Teobaldo Montay got a free kick in the 18th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Ciro Castel notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Canalejas's Esteve Eguen. Esteve Eguen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 23rdth minute of the game Isaias Isaio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Canalejas's Esteve Eguen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 25 minutes into the game, Anacleto Senon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palavecino FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Canalejas the free kick. After a rather tough play, Palavecino FC's Anacleto Senon got a free kick in the 25th minute. After 26 played minutes, Canalejas's Patricio Emenon shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benigno Valente came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Canalejas reached it. Esteve Eguen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Fuente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the match, Palavecino FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Peru came free, but Benigno Valente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciro Castel came free with the goalkeeper in the 39th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Esteve Eguen could save by the left post. In the 40th minute, Palavecino FC's Thomas Fuente dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Esteve Eguen didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 44th minute, which inside left pole to 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
The wind increased when Leandro Peru made the kick off in the second half. Esteve Eguen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciro Castel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Esteve Eguen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Rodas in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th minute Ciro Castel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteve Eguen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Thomas Fuente had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Esteve Eguen. Canalejas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Thomas Fuente was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. After some careless play in the Canalejas defense, Thomas Fuente kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Esteve Eguen. The Canalejas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Esteve Eguen should have stopped the shot. With an all-out effort, Canalejas's Benigno Valente threw himself towards the right post 66 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Patricio Emenon, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 70th match minute, Palavecino FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Furtado to maneuver through the defense. Canalejas's Patricio Emenon got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Isaias Isaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ciro Castel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteve Eguen having to interfere. Canalejas's Esteve Eguen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Castel in the 87th minute of play. 93 minutes into the game, Palavecino FC's Ciro Castel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Esteve Eguen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. If Thomas Fuente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Palavecino FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
