A collision led to Hipatía getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Lucas Jayvier hit a great ball. Teofilo Fernandes's late challenge caught a Eldía's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teofilo Fernandes helped the player get up and apologised. After 5 played minutes Hipatía got a freekick which was hit by Teofilo Fernandes. Armando Ignatius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Azeari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the game, Serafin Lugo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Armando Ignatius. Serafin Lugo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Pedro Dorio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amador Arnas in the 23rd minute of play. Armando Ignatius stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bento Bessa's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. A collision led to Hipatía getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Teofilo Fernandes hit a great ball. When Aquilino Faron came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Eldía fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aquilino Faron couldn't finish the play. Bento Bessa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Armando Ignatius having to make a save. 34 minutes into the match, Hipatía's goalkeeper Armando Ignatius had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aquilino Faron. Serafin Lugo might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Armando Ignatius. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Serafin Lugo ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bento Bessa in the 43rd minute of play forced Hipatía's goalkeeper Armando Ignatius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bento Bessa to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Eldía's goal looked a bit too open when Rigoberto Pereyra came free, but Pedro Dorio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 53 minutes into the game, Hipatía's Rigoberto Pereyra nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Dorio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Eldía's goalkeeper Pedro Dorio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 58 minutes, Edgard Egoi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Eldía and the Hipatía players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pedro Dorio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rigoberto Pereyra in the 61st minute of the match. 62 minutes into the game, Amador Arnas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hipatía's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Eldía the free kick. After a rather tough play, Hipatía's Amador Arnas got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Eldía's attack was well implemented in the 67th minute, but when Aquilino Faron was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. In the 70thth minute of the game Serafin Lugo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hipatía's Armando Ignatius was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 75th minute, Amador Arnas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Aquilino Faron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 82 minutes, Arnaldo Diagur managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hipatía's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnaldo Diagur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Armando Ignatius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bento Bessa in the 85th minute of play. Armando Ignatius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bento Bessa, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The Hipatía players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
