Leonides Mikelats guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In the 5th minute, Gustavo Louis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leonides Mikelats was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Jonathan Urdaspal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Covello's Leonides Mikelats played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Urdaspal in the 11th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Covello's Tomas Esiquio seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Tomas Esiquio the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Covello protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Tomas Esiquio had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 12th minute of the game. One of Covello:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Iturbe FC:s goal. Leonides Mikelats showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Louis in the 22nd minute of the match. Leonides Mikelats took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Urdaspal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Jonathan Urdaspal notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Covello's Leonides Mikelats. Leonides Mikelats was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 56th minute, Iturbe FC's Jonathan Urdaspal dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. Leonides Mikelats made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonathan Urdaspal in the 59th minute. Leonides Mikelats made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Louis in the 62nd minute of play. Covello's Leonides Mikelats proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Covello from getting a goal against them. The Covello fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonides Mikelats should have stopped the shot. 84 minutes into the match, Covello's goalkeeper Leonides Mikelats had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonathan Urdaspal. When Emanuel Bautista came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Iturbe FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Bautista couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Urdaspal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Leonides Mikelats made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Gustavo Louis took a quick shot and it went in 0-11 without a chance for Leonides Mikelats to make any attempt to save it. Leonides Mikelats took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Louis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 98 minutes of play, Iturbe FC's Jonathan Urdaspal made it 0-12 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net.
