The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Abelardo Berasko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amancio Gonchan having to interfere. Esteve Sal might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carolo Quinteros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Esteve Sal ran back to his position shaking his head. 8 minutes into the match, Pieres AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Luisito Gaizko came free, but Carolo Quinteros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carolo Quinteros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaac Ponce, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Isaac Ponce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carolo Quinteros having to interfere. If Esteve Sal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Pieres AFC defense, Esteve Sal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carolo Quinteros. The Pieres AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carolo Quinteros should have stopped the shot. MONKEY D. LUFFY's Esteve Sal got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 31 minutes into the match, MONKEY D. LUFFY's Isaac Ponce sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carolo Quinteros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lucio Benet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute, Luisito Gaizko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carolo Quinteros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorino Tuste, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to MONKEY D. LUFFY getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Luisito Gaizko hit a great ball. After having played for 45 minutes, Esteve Sal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MONKEY D. LUFFY's supporters crossed their fingers, but Esteve Sal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 47 minutes into the game, Guaberto Resto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Carolo Quinteros was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Pieres AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. MONKEY D. LUFFY were winning 0-3.

Carolo Quinteros came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by MONKEY D. LUFFY's Isaac Ponce. But to his dismay, Isaac Ponce quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Lucio Benet charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lucio Benet the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 76th minute of the match Viorel Berceanu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carolo Quinteros skillfully saved the ball. When Esteve Sal came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the MONKEY D. LUFFY fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Esteve Sal couldn't finish the play. Carolo Quinteros was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Victorino Tuste capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Victorino Tuste really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. Guaberto Resto in the 83rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Carolo Quinteros, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Carolo Quinteros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfonso Chaime in the 85th minute. In the 86th minute, Justo Sayveon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guaberto Resto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Esteve Sal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Carolo Quinteros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
