After some careless play in the Ranquilón defense, Nick Sturm kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lino Polentzi. The Ranquilón fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lino Polentzi should have stopped the shot. When Teodoro Vermudo came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Ranquilón fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodoro Vermudo couldn't finish the play. Aldo Millrick hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Atlético Tulum's Nick Sturm tried to score from far away in the 22nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 26 minutes into the match, Atlético Tulum's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Xabel came free, but Teodosio Etxatxu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teodoro Vermudo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodosio Etxatxu having to interfere. Lino Polentzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Witalis Dulka in the 33rd minute of play. Nick Sturm could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Lino Polentzi made a huge save. When Ranquilón's Teodoro Vermudo in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Atlético Tulum's goalie prevented a goal. Lino Polentzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Witalis Dulka in the 40th minute of the match. Atlético Tulum's Teodosio Etxatxu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Eguerdi in the 43rd minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teodoro Vermudo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ranquilón's Lino Polentzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nick Sturm in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute, Nick Sturm got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lino Polentzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciriaco Kemen in the 57th minute of the match. In the 59th minute Nick Sturm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lino Polentzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Atlético Tulum getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Anier Medina hit a great ball. With a little luck, Atlético Tulum's Teodosio Etxatxu got control of the ball when Cristian Xabel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lino Polentzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nick Sturm, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Ambrosio Chucho charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ambrosio Chucho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After having played for 67 minutes, Claudio Eguerdi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ranquilón's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudio Eguerdi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 72nd minute, Aldo Millrick hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Atlético Tulum's Witalis Dulka got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ranquilón's Jonathan Tello was substituted for Cristian Xabel. Ranquilón's Isidoro Jatsu was substituted for Aquiles Blasco. If Witalis Dulka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lino Polentzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nick Sturm, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
