An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro Vermudo in the 10th minute of play forced PASTAFRULA FC's goalkeeper Franco Armani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the game, Ranquilón's Teodoro Vermudo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Prudencio Mannie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Polentzi having to interfere. Teodoro Vermudo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Cristian Xabel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 27 played minutes Ranquilón got a freekick which was hit by Marco Cruz. An unexpected shot in the 31st minute by Patricio Muno got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Teodoro Vermudo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Franco Armani read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Franco Armani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodoro Vermudo, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Ranquilón's Claudio Eguerdi got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Patricio Muno was the one to do the kick off. Patricio Muno struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Lino Polentzi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PASTAFRULA FC. Prudencio Mannie took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lino Polentzi. Lino Polentzi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. When Aquiles Blasco fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. In the 86th minute, Patricio Muno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Ranquilón booed when PASTAFRULA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavio Platon didn't get a good kick on the ball. PASTAFRULA FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
