Teodoro Vermudos short, quick shot in the 15thth minute got Muhittin Oyum to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 19thth minute of the game Venancio Silbestre who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ranquilón's Lino Polentzi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nelson Cardoso struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Lino Polentzi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Leon FC. Teodoro Vermudo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Muhittin Oyum having to make a save. If Cristian Xabel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, El Leon FC's Godofredo Llorian got a free kick in the 31st minute. When Eustacio Shantala came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Ranquilón fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eustacio Shantala couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Lando in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lino Polentzi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Venancio Silbestre in the 41st minute of play forced Ranquilón's goalkeeper Lino Polentzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute, Venancio Silbestre ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lino Polentzi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. When El Leon FC's Venancio Silbestre in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With a little luck, Ranquilón's Lino Polentzi got control of the ball when Efrain Efraim tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 56th minute, El Leon FC's Venancio Silbestre dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Alberto Lando managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Leon FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Lando was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 61st minute Venancio Silbestre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lino Polentzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the game, Venancio Silbestre recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lino Polentzi. Venancio Silbestre showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. A sloppy throw-in by Eusebio Senin in the 72nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Ranquilón's Eustacio Shantala. Teodoro Vermudo scored 1-5 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Muhittin Oyum, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cristian Xabel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Muhittin Oyum read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Alberto Lando fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Lino Polentzi, passed just outside the right post. Ranquilón made a substitution. Lino Polentzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Venancio Silbestre in the 86th minute of play. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After 92 played minutes, El Leon FC's Mauro Hotz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lino Polentzi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in El Leon FC reached it. Efrain Efraim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Lino Polentzi made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Venancio Silbestre in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lino Polentzi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. El Leon FC played a much better game than Ranquilón and deserved their victory. The Ranquilón players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
