Enrique Garoa ran back to his position shaking his head. Casares's Enrique Garoa got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

After some careless play in the Salinas AFC defense, Enrique Garoa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fernan Espiridion. The Salinas AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernan Espiridion should have stopped the shot. 60 minutes into the match, Salinas AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Anacleto Lastur came free, but Fernan Espiridion reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Norberto Scoponi didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 69th minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. Silvestre Ponc's late challenge caught a Salinas AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the match, Salinas AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Silvestre Ponc came free, but Fernan Espiridion reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Many of Salinas AFC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Salinas AFC may have spent more time on the ball, but Casares were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
