Spectators: 6642 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1642, VIP seats: 0) Ciénega's Norberto Gomesano started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ciénega's Luisito Gombal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicanor Franco in the 6th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Miltos Kalamaras ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luisito Gombal was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 10th minute, Nicanor Franco made a precise shot to the right of Luisito Gombal. Ciénega's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 13th minute, Emanuel Lorencio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teobaldo Geofredo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 24th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Gilberto Etxekopar. The supporters of Usiyal booed when Ciénega was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilberto Etxekopar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 31 minutes, Leandro Dominguez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ciénega and the Usiyal players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 31st minute, Leandro Dominguez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luisito Gombal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicanor Franco, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Ciénega's goal looked a bit too open when Miltos Kalamaras came free, but Luisito Gombal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miltos Kalamaras in the 45th minute of play forced Ciénega's goalkeeper Luisito Gombal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Ciénega players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Usiyal were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nicanor Franco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Ciénega defense, Miltos Kalamaras kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luisito Gombal. The Ciénega fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luisito Gombal should have stopped the shot. Luisito Gombal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miltos Kalamaras in the 55th minute of play. Miltos Kalamaras took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luisito Gombal. Luisito Gombal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. With an all-out effort, Usiyal's Luisito Gombal threw himself towards the right post 60 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Miltos Kalamaras, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Luisito Gombal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Generoso Baldovino in the 62nd minute. 64 minutes into the game, Generoso Baldovino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Usiyal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ciénega the free kick. After 64 played minutes Usiyal got a freekick which was hit by Generoso Baldovino. In the 70th match minute, Usiyal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacobo Seber to maneuver through the defense. When Nicanor Franco fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Usiyal's protests and gave Nicanor Franco a yellow card for diving instead. Nicanor Franco hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Luisito Gombal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miltos Kalamaras in the 79th minute of play. Luisito Gombal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miltos Kalamaras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicanor Franco took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luisito Gombal.
