In the 16th minute, Braulio Nardo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. After 24 minutes of play, deportivo juniors's Braulio Nardo made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ciriaco Giraldo did an outstanding performance 36 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 0-4 to the right of an irritated Joaquim Aguiar in the goal. Braulio Nardo took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquim Aguiar. Joaquim Aguiar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braulio Nardo in the 43rd minute of play forced peñarol's goalkeeper Joaquim Aguiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pere Lopez de Toro hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute, Godofredo Calvino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, deportivo juniors's Braulio Nardo tried to score from far away in the 48th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Isaac Vitin made the kick off in the second half. In the 61st minute, deportivo juniors's Lisandro Kepa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Joaquim Aguiar. Joaquim Aguiar yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. Joaquim Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Braulio Nardo in the 68th minute of the match. With a little luck, peñarol's Joaquim Aguiar got control of the ball when Isaac Vitin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Joaquim Aguiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Braulio Nardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braulio Nardo in the 81st minute of play forced peñarol's goalkeeper Joaquim Aguiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the game, Isaac Vitin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Joaquim Aguiar.
