The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Asantar Fc booed when Pavón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blas Barbosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Pavón's zone, Jesus Fresco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simon Jayvier came out of the goal and Jesus Fresco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anibal Erauso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliciano Tonio having to interfere. If Anibal Erauso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anibal Erauso in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Feliciano Tonio saved Asantar Fc from getting behind. Santos Mergildo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Feliciano Tonio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Simon Jayvier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jesus Fresco's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Filiberto Ramos hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. If Jesus Fresco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Victor Kaiet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Feliciano Tonio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Santos Mergildo went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anibal Erauso in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Feliciano Tonio saved Asantar Fc from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Santos Mergildo in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Feliciano Tonio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half Pavón were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anibal Erauso made a kick off. Anibal Erauso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliciano Tonio having to interfere. When Jesus Fresco came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Asantar Fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jesus Fresco couldn't finish the play. If Anibal Erauso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Feliciano Tonio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anibal Erauso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jesus Fresco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 76 played minutes, Asantar Fc's Delmiro Gar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Simon Jayvier came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Asantar Fc reached it. 2-2 became the score in the 78th minute when Victor Kaiet elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 92 played minutes, Pavón's Enrique Matxin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Feliciano Tonio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pavón reached it. In the 94th minute Victor Kaiet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon Jayvier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Jesus Fresco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Simon Jayvier was relentless in the 97th minute of the game.
