Severiano Maiorga hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. When Florencio Berriotxoa came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Atlas F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florencio Berriotxoa couldn't finish the play. After 9 played minutes Atlas F.C got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Llanos. 13 minutes into the match, Atlas F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Lino Vincent came free, but Eusebio Jakes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Severiano Maiorga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusebio Jakes having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Cipriano Remir notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Atlas F.C's Eusebio Jakes. Eusebio Jakes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 21 minutes into the game, Simon Perrando cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Marciano Flores was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Benjamin Edur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Justino Raitin kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Marciano Flores, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 34th minute, Benjamin Edur made a precise shot to the right of Marciano Flores. Boca Juniors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Florencio Berriotxoa kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. With a little luck, Atlas F.C's Eusebio Jakes got control of the ball when Cipriano Remir tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eusebio Jakes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Severiano Maiorga in the 48th minute. After the first half Atlas F.C were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Florencio Berriotxoa to make the kick off. Florencio Berriotxoa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 54 minutes into the game, Florencio Berriotxoa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marciano Flores. Florencio Berriotxoa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Simon Perrando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 59 played minutes Atlas F.C got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Llanos. Boca Juniors were awarded a corner in the 62th minute after Atlas F.C's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Elias Shepherd took the corner. 64 minutes into the game, Celso Velasco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlas F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Boca Juniors the free kick. Celso Velasco kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atlas F.C's goalkeeper Eusebio Jakes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 72nd minute, Benjamin Edur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 74th minute Lino Vincent shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusebio Jakes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute, Cipriano Remir ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eusebio Jakes was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Eusebio Jakes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severiano Maiorga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 87 minutes in the game, Simon Perrando fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Marciano Flores having to interfere. Danilo Mirande struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Marciano Flores didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlas F.C. The Atlas F.C supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Atlas F.C would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
