Spectators: 6630 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1630, VIP seats: 0) Obanta FC's Cirilo Marino started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Obanta FC's Timoteo Arnau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Ioritz in the 5th minute of play. In the 7th minute, Everardo Larpe made a precise shot to the right of Timoteo Arnau. Obanta FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Fidel Olivar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cirilo Marino in the 15th minute of play. Fidel Olivar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cirilo Marino in the 18th minute of the match. Ichipuca's Marcos Ioritz got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Feliberto Faron took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fidel Olivar. Ichipuca's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Ioritz in the 29th minute of play forced Obanta FC's goalkeeper Timoteo Arnau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Timoteo Arnau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aristides Goizeder, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Timoteo Arnau stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Everardo Larpe's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcos Ioritz in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Timoteo Arnau saved Obanta FC from getting behind. Claudio Franco might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Timoteo Arnau. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Claudio Franco ran back to his position shaking his head. When Ichipuca's Everardo Larpe in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Obanta FC's goalie prevented a goal. Eugenio Odol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Fidel Olivar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Everardo Larpe to make the kick off. After 53 played minutes Obanta FC got a freekick which was hit by Ceferino Izotz. The supporters of Ichipuca booed when Obanta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelino Gaskon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Everardo Larpe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timoteo Arnau having to interfere. Everardo Larpe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Timoteo Arnau made a huge save. Fidel Olivar came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Obanta FC's Ceferino Izotz. But to his dismay, Ceferino Izotz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Timoteo Arnau made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Marcos Ioritz sent off a good shot on target. 72 minutes into the match, Obanta FC's goalkeeper Timoteo Arnau had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Everardo Larpe. After 72 minutes, Angel Berriotxoa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Obanta FC and the Ichipuca players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 73 played minutes Obanta FC got a freekick which was hit by Angel Berriotxoa. If Everardo Larpe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Timoteo Arnau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Ioritz in the 79th minute of play. Pascual Lucila hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. After 82 played minutes, Ichipuca's Claudio Franco shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Timoteo Arnau came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ichipuca reached it. Fidel Olivar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cirilo Marino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcos Ioritz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timoteo Arnau having to interfere. In the 86thth minute of the game Everardo Larpe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Obanta FC's Timoteo Arnau was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fidel Olivar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dante Goiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes into the game, Gabriel Iratxo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ichipuca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Obanta FC the free kick. A collision led to Ichipuca getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Gabriel Iratxo hit a great ball. Ichipuca's Fidel Olivar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cirilo Marino in the 94th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ichipuca players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
