An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaias Abreu in the 13th minute of play forced EBK's goalkeeper Ubaldo Lore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute, Isaias Abreu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. EBK's Apolo Lordi suffered a sore foot after 23 minutes and couldn't finish the game. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Olgierd Furtok made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Olgierd Furtok got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Börje Mattsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as EBK's Olgierd Furtok slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Artemio Abeitia. That made the score 0-3 after 55 minutes of play. Börje Mattssons short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Artemio Abeitia to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 63 minutes into the match, Sport Bahrein's goalkeeper Artemio Abeitia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Börje Mattsson. Olgierd Furtok sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Sport Bahrein getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Norberto Gabon hit a great ball. 70 minutes into the match, Sport Bahrein's goal looked a bit too open when Olgierd Furtok came free, but Artemio Abeitia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Olgierd Furtok had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Sport Bahrein defense, Olgierd Furtok kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Artemio Abeitia. The Sport Bahrein fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Artemio Abeitia should have stopped the shot. A collision led to EBK getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Mauro Guifre hit a great ball. Segundo Elixio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute Olgierd Furtok shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artemio Abeitia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded EBK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sport Bahrein.
