With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victorino Galeno prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Urbano AFC's Cristo Tercero got a free kick in the 12th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Vimaro in the 13th minute of play forced Urbano AFC's goalkeeper Victorino Galeno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 16 played minutes Barrancas AFC got a freekick which was hit by Justino Iraitz. After some careless play in the Urbano AFC defense, Amancio Sotil kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Victorino Galeno. The Urbano AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Victorino Galeno should have stopped the shot. 25 minutes in the game, Paolo Costante fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ruperto Dacio having to interfere. Samuel Vimaro struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Victorino Galeno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barrancas AFC. If Samuel Vimaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Leandro Delfino fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barrancas AFC's protests and gave Leandro Delfino a yellow card for diving instead. Victorino Galeno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Vimaro in the 48th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amancio Sotil to make the kick off. Paolo Costante might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ruperto Dacio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ruperto Dacio was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 79th minute, Braulio Alfonso had to leave the field with a concussion. Evelio Dolfo's late challenge caught a Barrancas AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victorino Galeno made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. When Ramon Jerold came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Urbano AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramon Jerold couldn't finish the play. When Rigoberto Chan fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Urbano AFC's protests and gave Rigoberto Chan a yellow card for diving instead.
