Mechongué AFC were furious when Wincenty Kojder was red carded, 21 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 21 minutes into the game, one of Mechongué AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Mechongué AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quilmes Ahletic Club the free kick. The supporters of Quilmes Ahletic Club booed when Mechongué AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladimiro Iraitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Quilmes Ahletic Club's Elias Bernard quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Herminio Fero, made in the 52nd minute of the game. If Leopoldo Ibar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nunez Esdrass short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Godofredo Omero to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Mechongué AFC's Kris Boulton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Isias in the 61st minute of play. Leopoldo Ibar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Godofredo Omero when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 77th minute, Denis Isias left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Quilmes Ahletic Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Quilmes Ahletic Club made a substitution. Alejo Iaki replaced Domingo Distiratsu. Denis Isias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mechongué AFC's Raul Irrintzi was substituted for Leopoldo Ibar. There was no doubt that Quilmes Ahletic Club were the better team. Quilmes Ahletic Club's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
