In the 14th minute, Anier Nuno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Astor Baldovino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rosario Central's supporters rose to their feet, but Astor Baldovino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Criston breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Anier Nuno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Astor Baldovino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Benito Criston made a huge save. Astor Baldovino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Criston read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. If Astor Baldovino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anier Nuno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Benito Criston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Astor Baldovino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benito Criston dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. In the 64th minute Anier Nuno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Criston saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Mark kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Benito Criston made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnulfo Gabrio in the 67th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Porvenir Talleres V.C.'s Alberto Mark got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 71stth minute of the game Astor Baldovino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Porvenir Talleres V.C.'s Benito Criston was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Porvenir Talleres V.C. defense, Astor Baldovino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Criston. The Porvenir Talleres V.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Criston should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Porvenir Talleres V.C. booed when Rosario Central was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florencio Toribio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 92 minutes into the match, Porvenir Talleres V.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Anier Nuno came free, but Benito Criston reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 6-1 became the score in the 96th minute when Norberto Jurgi elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. There was no doubt that Rosario Central were the better team. Rosario Central's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
