In the 12th minute Bonifacio Ioritz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elvio Bautista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute, Bonifacio Ioritz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Rivadavia getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Eloy Benino hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bonifacio Ioritz in the 18th minute of play forced Rivadavia's goalkeeper Elvio Bautista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 23 minutes, Tomas Chesus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rivadavia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Chesus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manantiales AFC's Luisito Millano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Manantiales AFC from getting a goal against them. 37 minutes into the game, Alberto Ascencio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Manantiales AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rivadavia the free kick.
