Tor Dahlquist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pablo Txartiko having to interfere. Anastasio Harkaitz's late challenge caught a Rivadavia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anastasio Harkaitz helped the player get up and apologised. When Gustaf Lagerberg came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Rivadavia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustaf Lagerberg couldn't finish the play. After 41 played minutes Carranza AFC got a freekick which was hit by Anastasio Harkaitz. A collision led to Carranza AFC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Miguel Chale hit a great ball. Pablo Txartiko stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gustaf Lagerberg's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. When Rivadavia's Tor Dahlquist in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Carranza AFC's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 46 minutes, Gustaf Lagerberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 49th minute, Mariano Iigo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rivadavia's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Iigo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pablo Txartiko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Tor Dahlquist might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pablo Txartiko. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tor Dahlquist ran back to his position shaking his head. If Gustaf Lagerberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Carranza AFC's zone, Tor Dahlquist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pablo Txartiko came out of the goal and Tor Dahlquist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pablo Txartiko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tor Dahlquist, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Rivadavia's Tor Dahlquist in the 64th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Pablo Txartiko was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Carranza AFC through an amazing save. In the 65th minute, Tor Dahlquist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pablo Txartiko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eloy Benino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Rivadavia defense, Oscar Hitz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elvio Bautista. The Rivadavia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elvio Bautista should have stopped the shot. 74 minutes into the game, Rivadavia's Gustaf Lagerberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
