The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Genaro Bihar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 20th minute Lisandro Calvino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Gurutz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Melchor Frascuelo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Genaro Bihar's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Zoldo Alto's Ignacio Gabirel got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 23 minutes into the match, Tama's goalkeeper Melchor Frascuelo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Serafino Honesto. After 24 minutes, Ildefonso Abecia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tama and the Zoldo Alto players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 24th minute, Ildefonso Abecia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Genaro Bihar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melchor Frascuelo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lisandro Calvino in the 30th minute of play forced Zoldo Alto's goalkeeper Ricardo Gurutz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Melchor Frascuelo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genaro Bihar in the 35th minute of the match. A collision led to Tama getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Leopoldo Rico hit a great ball. If Genaro Bihar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpected shot in the 45th minute by Ceferino Cristofol got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lisandro Calvino made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Tama's zone, Genaro Bihar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melchor Frascuelo came out of the goal and Genaro Bihar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leopoldo Rico's late challenge caught a Zoldo Alto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leopoldo Rico helped the player get up and apologised. After 60 minutes, Genaro Bihar made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Tama's Melchor Frascuelo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ignacio Gabirel struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Melchor Frascuelo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zoldo Alto.
