Alejo Nayely took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerardo Chorche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Piquillín's Clodoveo Tebaldo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Piquillín from getting a goal against them. When Maximiliano Quintyn fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Piquillín's protests and gave Maximiliano Quintyn a yellow card for diving instead. After 15 played minutes Piquillín got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Quintyn. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roman Ganix got free with Clodoveo Tebaldo in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Avellaneda City's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by David Silva in the 18th minute. Avellaneda City's David Silva was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Clodoveo Tebaldo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteve Mitxel in the 22nd minute of play forced Avellaneda City's goalkeeper Alejo Nayely to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alejo Nayely showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Barbosa in the 26th minute of the match. In the 28thth minute of the game Gerardo Chorche who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Avellaneda City's Alejo Nayely was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Piquillín's Amador Gelmiro got a free kick in the 29th minute. Clodoveo Tebaldo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from David Silva. After 32 played minutes Avellaneda City got a freekick which was hit by Roman Ganix. 34 minutes into the match, Avellaneda City's goal looked a bit too open when Esteve Mitxel came free, but Alejo Nayely reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Clodoveo Tebaldo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roman Ganix in the 37th minute. Esteve Mitxel took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alejo Nayely. Alejo Nayely dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Sixto Ekain hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. A collision led to Avellaneda City getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Célio Baiano hit a great ball. If Arnaldo Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sixto Ekain stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carmelo Kaiet during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Piquillín booed when Avellaneda City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carmelo Kaiet didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmelo Kaiet in the 53rd minute of play forced Piquillín's goalkeeper Clodoveo Tebaldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd match minute, Avellaneda City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Célio Baiano to maneuver through the defense. Clodoveo Tebaldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roman Ganix in the 58th minute of play. Avellaneda City's Alejo Nayely proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Avellaneda City from getting a goal against them. Clodoveo Tebaldo came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Avellaneda City's Roman Ganix. But to his dismay, Roman Ganix quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Alejo Nayely was out of position in the 67 minute of play, and Arnaldo Barbosa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Arnaldo Barbosa really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Alejo Nayely made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Gerardo Chorche sent off a good shot on target. Clodoveo Tebaldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmelo Kaiet in the 77th minute of play. Tomas Beltxe kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Tomas Beltxe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clodoveo Tebaldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carmelo Kaiet, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. 91 minutes into the match, Esteve Mitxel dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alejo Nayely, 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matias Regis in the 94th minute of play forced Avellaneda City's goalkeeper Alejo Nayely to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Piquillín had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
